High
Definition
We can edit any HD content including uncompressed HD on our Final Cut Pro system. We have Studio 2 on a dual quad Mac Pro. It gives us eight processors running a 3GB/s with 13GB of ram and RAID-5 storage with 1.3TB available for media. The system supports realtime HD viewing on a 46" Sony Bravia monitor.
Our primary camera is
the Sony HVR-Z1U. It is the first professional hand held high
definition camera. It is shown with the Century Optics X.7
wide angle converter and lens hood, a Sennheiser super-cardioid
mic and a Lectrosonics wireless receiver. This highly mobile
system can record great sound and stunningly beautiful images.
It records in the HDV format and can output over firewire directly
to HDV or DV in ether 4X3 or 16X9.
The Z1U is augmented
by the perfect "companion camera" the 1.7lb Sony HVR-A1U.
Both cameras record in the high definition HDV format or DV/DVCAM
and are supported with Cartoni tripods, Sennheiser microphones and
Century Optics converter lenses.
We plan to purchase a Sony EX1 with its 1/2 CMOS chips and superior low light capability as soon as 32GB cards are available.
We can do
a complete broadcast quality video project for as low as $1500.
